Getting things done

By October 12, 20062 Comments1 min read

So I’ve been thinking a lot more lately on productivity issues, and basically how things get done every day. It led me to realize that I need to adhere to these goals and task lists I set out for myself, and do my best to get them all done. I’ve been reading a lot of Dave Seah‘s stuff on productivity and it is amazing how much stuff you can get done if you just have it written down in front of you.

I’ve started writing on my manila pad every morning the top 10 things I want to get done today, blogging is never on there, but I think its a good thing to take care of too. So my suggestion to everyone reading this, print out a task list. Put 10-15 things on it. Try and get 40-50% of those things done every day. At the end of the day, scratch off the completed ones, and write a new task list for the next morning. Try this for a week, see if you get more stuff done, if you do, then make your next week’s goal to do 50-60% of the tasks each day. Sooner or later you’ll have a lot of free time on your hands, and when that happens, get yourself a drink, and head to the beach.

Dude, I think you’ve really distilled the essence of all these productivity systems…I love it! “It’s amazing how much stuff you can get done if you just have it written down in front of your”.

    I’m totally posting that 🙂
